Peachtree Creek Greenway Master Plan

Perez Planning + Design, LLC (PP+D) in partnership with Heath & Lineback Engineers, Inc. were selected by the City of Brookhaven to develop a Master Plan for the Peachtree Creek Greenway. The objective of the project was to develop a framework for constructing an integrated system of multi-use and natural trails along the North Fork of Peachtree Creek. 

The Peachtree Creek Greenway Master Plan coalesces the desires of Brookhaven residents, City and DeKalb County officials, local businesses and non-profits to realize the development of a multi-purpose linear park along the North Fork of Peachtree Creek. The Peachtree Greenway Master Plan lays out the proposed details of the 3.2 mile linear park – envisioned to feature a series of trails including nature trails, paved multi-purpose paved trails, and paved promenade trails near the revitalized corridor dotted with residences, offices, restaurants, bike rental stands, coffee shops and picnic areas - the plan suggests alignment, amenities, design specifications and implementation strategy.

PP+D led the project process which included the review of previously completed plans, site analysis and corridor evaluation, public engagement, conceptual plans and cost estimates, and an implementation strategy. Public input included direction by a Steering Committee, public workshops, and many one-on-one interviews with elected officials, corridor and trail neighbors, and neighborhood organizations. PP+D is currently working on the design and engineering of Phase 1 of the greenway.
