Cumberland Community Improvement District Bicycle Connectivity Implementation Plan

The Cumberland Community Improvement District (CID) hired a team led by Perez Planning + Design, LLC (PP+D) that included Kaizen Collaborative and the PATH Foundation, Inc. to complete the Cumberland CID Bicycle Connectivity Implementation Plan.

Informed by an Advisory Committee, the plan explored and recommend a diversity of high-quality bicycle connections that are context sensitive, safe, practical, and useful. The study also included a Traffic Impact Analysis to explore the feasibility of proposed concepts on vehicular traffic. The implementation strategy led to a phased 10 year plan of retrofitting existing infrastructure and establishing new connections to safely connect residences, employment, services, retail, transit, and recreational destinations, while linking completed urban trails and greenways that provide local and regional connectivity.
